Whatever the size of your business you are affected by the recent VAT implementation in the UAE. We all have been bombarded with request from suppliers for our TRN implying that you need one despite the thresholds that the law includes for small businesses. Issuance of TRN has been delayed in some cases and also of the TRN certificates resulting in more emails from suppliers and clients asking for your TRN or proof that you do not need one. And now most of us also have to prepare for our first VAT return with looming fines of AED 15.000 if the return is not correct! In our Business over Breakfast Event on 28th March we like to give you an opportunity to share experiences and to discuss solutions to issues that our businesses face with the VAT implementation.

We have found two experts – Roy Kanaan from Kanaan & Associates and Vinayak Aatreya from M&M ALMENHALI – who are hands-on involved with helping businesses comply with the new VAT laws  prepared to inform us of the latest developments re the VAT laws and its implementation and to answer questions regarding practical implementation of VAT accounting, VAT invoices and VAT returns that you may face.

Request for your input ahead of the Breakfast

To help our experts prepare for the discussions we would very much like to ask for your input on issues that you have to deal with re the VAT implementation. Please send an email with your issues or questions to by latest Sunday 25th March.

The Business over Breakfast session aim to bring together small medium enterprises to discuss and learn more about relevant topics from each other and from guest speakers. Newcomers to the U.A.E also have the opportunity to meet established entrepreneurs and profit from their knowledge and experience.

This Business over Breakfast will be held on Wednesday the 28th of March from 8.00-9.30am at ‘Mazina’ restaurant, ‘The Address Dubai Marina’, Dubai.
