The BeNeLux Business Council, the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Abu Dhabi and FIT (Flanders Investment & Trade) are proud to invite you to a thought leadership event during the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) with the following guest-speakers:
Bart Tommelein – Vice-Minister-President of the Government of Flanders, Flemish Minister for Budget, Finance and Energy
Mr. Tommelein will talk about renewable energy in a wider European context.
Maria van der Hoeven – former Minister of Economic Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and former Executive Director of the International Energy Agency (IEA).
Mrs. Van der Hoeven is currently senior fellow at the Clingendael International Energy Program (CIEP). Mrs. Van der Hoeven will share her insights on the water-energy-food nexus. Natural resources are becoming more and more scarce, influences of climate change more visible, and an increasing world population demands ever more food, water and energy. All three resources are intrinsically linked, and only an integrated approach both within and amongst countries will allow for sustainable solutions to resolve the problems of this nexus.
There will be plenty of time for networking while enjoying breakfast.
Time:07:30 AM – 09:30 AM Location: Centro Capital Centre by Rotana – Abu Dhabi Fee: members FREE; non-members AED 180.00
